Please be advised that the draft Easttown Township Comprehensive Plan is now available for public review here and in the Township Building between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Easttown Township Board of Supervisors established a Task Force consisting of representatives of the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, residents, and business owners to complete an update of the Township’s 2001 Comprehensive Plan with the assistance of the Chester County Planning Commission. This joint planning effort is funded in part by a $34,000 Chester County Vision Partnership Program Grant.
Once adopted, the Comprehensive Plan will serve as a policy document that is to be used as one of the many tools available to the Board of Supervisors to proactively and comprehensively guide the growth and development of Easttown. The draft Comprehensive Plan provides a vision for the Township’s future along with suggested steps to make that vision a reality. While only recommendatory in nature, the adopted Comprehensive Plan will provide guidance to Township Officials as they focus on addressing the most pressing challenges and opportunities the Township will face over the next 10 years.
The draft Comprehensive Plan identifies the following six primary issues to be addressed within its 10-year planning horizon:
The Board of Supervisors invites the public to review and provide comments on the draft Comprehensive Plan by attending the following public meetings:
Should you be unable to attend the above-referenced meetings, the Board of Supervisors asks that you please submit your comments on the draft Comprehensive Plan to Eugene Briggs, Assistant Township Manager, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone at 610-687-3000 ext. 109.
