In a joint effort by CVS/Pharmacy, Partnership for Drug-Free Kids, and The Medicine Abuse Project, the Easttown Township Police Department has acquired a prescription medication disposal unit, which will give the residents of Easttown an environmentally safe and convenient way to dispose of your expired, unused or unwanted medications, which helps the fight against prescription drug abuse.

Acceptable items include:

  • Prescriptions
  • Prescription Patches
  • Prescription Medications
  • Prescription Ointments
  • Over-the-counter medications
  • Vitamins
  • Samples
  • Medications for pets

The following items are NOT accepted:

  • Aerosol cans
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Inhalers
  • Medication from businesses or clinics
  • Needles (sharps)
  • Ointments, lotions or liquids
  • Thermometers

Community members can drop off unused and expired medications at the Township Building outside the police department on the first floor.
