On May 19, 2025, the Board of Supervisors awarded the trash and recycling contract to the lowest bidder, Whitetail Disposal.
Beginning OCTOBER 6th, fully-automated Trash and Recycling Collection will occur Township-wide - meaning, curbside AND rear yard.
This week, new trash and recycling carts are being delivered. Let the Township know right away if you do not receive carts.
Old recycling carts (belonging to Republic Services) will be collected by Republic when your recyclables are collected, beginning this Thursday (Sept. 25).
Proper Cart Placement
To ensure the trucks can safely collect your trash and recycling, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- All trash and recycling must be placed inside the designated cart. The automated truck cannot collect loose items/items outside of the cart; it can only pick up the cart. Loose items are considered bulk and must be scheduled.
- Place your carts curbisde the night before your scheduled collection day.
- Place your cart at least 3 feet away from all objects, including your second cart, mailbox, vehicles, or trees/landscaping.
- Bins should face forward, with the lid opening toward the street, and wheels against the curb/facing your house.
