Holiday light strands may not belong in your curbside recycling, but you don't have to throw them away either! You can drop off your lights at the Easttown Township Municipal Building now through January 12th. A collection bin is outside the main entrance. Please remember to place only string lights in the bin—no spools or reels.
WHY CAN'T I PUT THEM IN THE CURBSIDE RECYCLING BIN? String lights can't go in recycling bins because their wires get tangled in sorting machinery at facilities, causing shutdowns and creating safety hazards for workers.
